I have since installed the TItanium shims, and the SS 1LE (larger) brake deflectors, and had zero brake issues at ButtonWillow a couple weeks back. I was only out for 10 - 12 minutes, so shorter sessions, but was pleased with how everything worked.
The SS 1LE brake deflectors will scrape if running 18" wheels, and even if 19" wheels, probably not street friendly, mainly for track.
