I was not happy with the Map Sensor across the top. I original lengthen the sensor wire and it worked fine for awhile. Then I started getting voltage problems caused by the wire on my map sensor and a few codes. I switch backed to the shorter version and it was fine. Now I decided to tuck underneath the manifold after someone else did it. I am concerned about the wire compressing to much on engine and manifold. So I decided to shave the bottom and put two side port windows on manifold in order to pass wire thru the sides without any compression. I was originally just going to make a small channel for the wire to run underneath, but I got carried away and shaved the whole bottom. I then decided to wrap the bottom in heat foil tape.

Basically I did this because of the wire, don’t no if any benefits of wrapping bottom with the foil tape but it certainly can’t hurt.

My next mission is get a 2020 Corvette Intake Manifold bolt or just go down to the dealership to see if ordering it is the same. I am a bit concerned if the bolts are the same length or not. It’s piece of mind for me. The Corvette manifold is taller so I almost think the bolts are longer.
Great job and feed back, so the stock map sensor wire will reach no problem going under the shaved bottom and thru your port holes, no need to buy the extension for the map harness?? I would say keeping the intake cool is the way to go. I am following your lead, am close to doing this on my 2021 LT1
