I just wanted to mention since I paid attention the other day, I can see quite a bit of my hood while driving, including the back of the drivers hood vent and just the tip of the passenger side vent.
The matt black wrap covers all the sheet metal visible from the drivers seat, I can't see any painted surface out the windshield.
But this is no different from many other cars I've owned and I can't say glare was much of an issue with any of those cars either.
For track use, the wrap can't hurt if it minimizes some glare for a some people at dusk/dawn where sunlight would have an angle to cause problems.
