On your first note, I'm not even sure yours is the same issue as the one we have with the 2016-2018's, though. Your 2016 may not have seen temperatures high enough to exhibit the problem—my rear bumper "aligns itself" perfectly under 75-80 degrees and only then starts to bulge, especially in direct sunlight.

I may have just been lucky (go figure) with how the bumper lined up on my 2016... because it did sit in the sun on many a 90+F day. The expansion “bulge” wasn’t noticeable at the corners.
