OK, gotcha. Well i'd rather get a pair of new struts than just 1, so that's good news.

Likely your swaybar endlink. Visually you won't be able to tell anything is wrong, but the nut doesn't keep enough tension on the joint. It's a known issue on these cars, they loosen over time and clunk. You can tighten the nut and it will go away for a couple of months, then come back. Or you can replace with aftermarket (like BMR) and never worry about it again.
