I've owned several performance cars and many, many hyperbikes. I've never subscribed to the factory's "keep it under x,000 rpm's for x,000 miles. So it's ok to be at 3,900 rpm's but not at 4,200 rpm's. And once you hit 1,500 miles, turn on the light switch. Doesn't make sense to me.

All my vehicles have consumed ZERO oil and have good longevity. I take it easy for 50-100 miles, then increase rpm and load every 100 miles, with some light load pulls to higher rpm's. At 1,000 miles, maybe a little less, I'm done.
