I have a GoPro Hero 7 Silver, which I have used in the past on my RX-8 when I ran AutoX. I haven't used it in a year, though. Just using my PDR now. Didn't have much trouble with it when I used it.

GoPro in general gives me the impression that their hardware team actually makes an effort for a good product, but the software team is high or drunk(probably both) all the time.

Regarding the wind noise, do you have a sponge case for your GoPro? I had some trouble with that until I installed a sponge case, and it only recorded the rotary scream and tire screeches without the wind noise. Perfect.
