I hate my GoPro8. Cant believe the Hero9 is going to be much better. Yaw stability during Autocross makes stabilized footage unusable. It’s as if the camera is on a swivel and will start “looking” out the side window. Better on track, but still not great. Also, the phone connectivity only works 1/3 of the time. Wholly inconsistent, which prevents you from aiming camera, viewing media, etc. Finally, their software is worthless. Capped at 30 second clips.

I was super pumped to get my first GoPro last year, but the bugs, software limits, horrible battery life, and hypersmooth yaw deficiencies make me feel like we’re all actively beta testing for them...except they don’t care. Just check their support forums, full of consistent negative feedback on common issues; some of which I’ve listed.
