Curves can affect radar if you're in a canyon. Sometimes it's almost as bad as instant-on clocking.

As mentioned, instant-on radar used in a moving patrol car is something you can't avoid. You have 1-2 seconds to slow if you're lucky!

Around here Laser is done on the side of the road and it'll often show up on Waze. It seems like Laser is falling out of fashion though, I haven't seen them setting up a laser trap for along time now.
