Josh: Appreciate the comments. Agree a custom cam is the right answer. I used to believe a NA cam is different than a non-NA cam, but some reputable sources say that isn't always the case...at least it isn't as bad as some believe if you have a cam already. The power curve is just more so with an adder. I'm no expert though.
I also wonder if the specs Chevy publishes for the HOT cam - if they are equivalent to what the aftermarket cams are measured at. Chevy advertised 80 HP increase with the CNC heads and cam package according to their Crate Engine info.
7speed: Appreciate chiming in! I'm only aware of 2 others on this forum who used the package/cam. One sold the car (commented he had couple of lifter failures) and the other silent. Please report back on your experiences...also highly recommend dynoing the car prior ideally on the same dyno for actual improvement. I've done this many times and gives great justification for your money spent.
