I think this is one of those situations where GM doesn't want to call the shudder a safety issue and turn it into a recall. So TSB instead, and hope people live with it until they are out of warranty.

Cellsafe is right. This is a flawed fluid which attracts water. Once you get the "shudder" you already have parts wearing unevenly. Transmission clutches are supposed to slide then grab in a smooth fashion. Not sticky-sticky then grab.
