Observations
PSS, cheaper, sidewalls softer and thinner than 4S, lose grip over 120F, will cord with excess camber and at low pressures <32 psi, similar to Conti EC sport. very good value, rain good.
PS4S, expensive, stiffer sidewall, better turn in, better grip, surprising track pace up to 130F and 39psi, wears like iron even with camber, improved ride compliance, rain better than SS but will still hydro plane in light standing water above 75 mph. Expensive.
G3 non R, haven't run it, takes heat better than 4S, maybe fits here
PSC2, grip comes in at 120F and peaks at 170F. Better pace than 4S. Wears better than G3R, crisp turn in gives way to noticeable more understeer, overall initially behaves similar to 3R but loses pace as laps mount, rain bad
G3 non R,,, haven't run it ,, maybe fits here from pace, seems to take heat better than 4S.
G3R, wow, consistent grip from 150F-200F lap after lap. Wears like soft butter but best at 34/35 psi, excellent response, progressive break away, tough to get tire temps over 120F on the street, deadly below below 50F, rain forget about it.
All but the G3R howl at the limit.
Running Nankang AR 1 305's on front this weekend. They roar like off road truck tires ....
G3R's make me anxious on the street .... Especially when at the wear bars and 20+ heat cycles... Fortunately, they usually don't live that long...
