struts/shocks/dampers, be them on the hood or on the tires are usually considered wear & tear items and aren't covered under most warranties unless you can show some kind of obvious factory flaw in their construction.
I would not be surprised if you call them up, they tell you tough luck if it's just the seals leaking.
