Update: in addition to the electrical issue, valve cover hose got lose and oil started coming out. I randomly started the car after a week of not driving and engine started smoking. Opened the hood and there was a bit of oil leak on the right side of the engine.

dealer checked it out: found a loose seal / broken hose on coming out of the valve cover. Took care of that. Surprisingly, the CODE from the check engine light earlier is now "cleared". all fixed under warranty thankfully

dealer suggested i drive it and see what happens. Technician believes it was from "slush" left over in the tank - possibly from have low fuel level (under a quarter)

* Electrical *
3 harnesses were chewed, one of them was completely gone. they have to remove the front bumper and see where it went. definitely bad news: but they seem to know what they're doing. hopefully, it wont be anything terrible. if anyone has any issues related to electrical i suggest you call your insurance immediately and file a comprehensive claim

the cost to inspect electrical stuff is very high!!! more than $1,000 so far
