In a straight line and on street I'm sure 305 x 4 is fine.
On track I noticed a big difference switching from 325 to 315 rear tires. When you're on track pushing the limits of grip with a ZLE, you need the full benefit of the wide and sticky GY 3Rs--or at least go stickier (Hoosier/Pirelli slicks) or bigger (Kumho V720 355).
From my experience trying different tires, the 3R is engineered to handle the weight of the ZLE much better than other proven track tires. PSC2 should be 315/345, and if you run Hoosier R7 beware of dangerous overheat issues on high speed banking like NASCAR Roval tracks.
