The early flush/fill wasn’t effective but the current flush procedure seems to be fixing the shudder for most people. It sounds like your car is still within the powertrain warranty period. If you’re just starting to feel the shudder then probably not much damage to the torque converter. Whether you keep or replace the TC you might want to get the flush just to fill the transmission with the latest fluid. It’s free under warranty.
