The only real issue IMO is the oil pump, and incidents of failure seem to be very low in number/rate. Compared to some other sports cars in the past, I consider this one to be almost trouble free so far. Issues with other cars that come to mind:
- E46 M3 rod bearing failures--mine were replaced by dealer 2x in 3 years as a recall action, mine didnt fail
- Mazda RX-8 overrated power--factory buyback
- 991 GT3 engine fires--Porsche ordered all owners to stop driving and replaced all GT3 motors world-wide
- C7 Z06 track overheat--I was excited to buy one until that happened
