I would go with what the tint law says you can have on your windows in California even if it is 70% to avoid being stopped by law enforcement. 70 percent is better than 0 percent in my opinion! We have 35% law here in Georgia which is what I have on my ZL1 but of course other people put darker tint on their windows and wonder why they get hassled by the cops and I know because I was one of those that got stopped about 20 years ago for having too dark a tint on the back window of my 1987 IROC Z28! It was either take it off or get a ticket so I took it off and got the legal tint put on.
