So decided to run a slightly aggressive square setup that is affordable for track days. Just like the 1LE itself (bang for buck) - can rotate for longevity & $660 for an entire set of tires (even though they are not the fastest) is hard to beat.
Based on standard FE3 setups on SS Camaros with no mag ride susp I decided to run the following:
19x10.5 (Apex SM10) w/ federal RS-Pro 275/35R19 using a 5mm spacer up front & et style gorilla lugs. Now the outside measure of the wheel is 11" which is nearly identical to the federal 275, so while only being a 275 it should mount very well keeping the sidewall with little to no stretch or pinch.
Here is front fit with the wheel only, then with a 5mm spacer
(NOTE: this is with a -2.3° front camber)
Decided I would take a little material off to ensure if there is flex that nothing makes contact
And how it looks from the outside:
Using et style gorilla lug nuts - with the spacer handtight I get a full 9 turns, so plenty of thread engagement. Once I get them mounted, balanced & installed more pics will come
