I can't reach my cars limit on anything but the salt flats or something, but I wouldn't really want to... well, maybe once or twice.

I like knowing that I have that extra power if I need or want it. But putting it to its limit though I feel is like eating until you puke or almost puke or something (acceptable on holidays!) instead of eating and then holding off some and not pushing your stomach to it's limit to know you have room for dessert if you want.

As far as handling, just as anything can be made fast, the suspension, sway bars, brakes and tires could be upgraded/added as well for handling. Or someone could just get a 1LE. Like I said in my original post though, this is for the people that can afford either with no financial problems. And hooray for F U power

But again, I'm not hating or knocking on the 6 at all. I was just curious, if finances were not an issue.
Yeah I feel that approaching the limits on the street in any remotely sporty car is a one way ticket to or . for me it's not at all about speed. But if the argument is to have big HP and also not push the limits on the street, well that sounds a lot like being hung like a porn star and taking a vow of celibacy. Yes anything can handle great, but the Alpha platform is incredible and requires little to no modification out of the box to meet my specific needs. I did get a 1LE, a V6 1LE because that was the engine I felt was the best balance for the type of driving I like to do and finances didn't factor into that decision.

It's also fun to beat much faster cars at autox where the extra power means nothing, and it's mostly up to chassis and driver. I wanted to go back to CAM (Classic American Muscle) class, it allows for pretty open modifications, and a couple of years ago a 2.0T Camaro won nationals and then Randy Pobst bought a 2.0T Camaro.
Funny you say that, a BRZ was one of the cars I cross shopped against. 370Z, BRZ/FR-S, Mustang Ecoboost/GT, and Camaro SS were all contenders. The 370Z seemed like too much money for the capability, the BRZ was fun but like my previous Miata needed a bit more oomph to be a good daily driver, the Mustang Ecoboost sounded bad, wasn't sharp enough, and the seating position was terrible. And the Mustang GT (2018+) and Camaro SS were just too powerful for what I was looking for. I have strange tastes, I acknowledge that, but this is my Goldilocks car and kudos to GM for making the performance package available on all Camaro models and not just the most powerful engines.
