The Dream Cruise basically sprang up as homage to the fact that on any given day, weather permitting, you can see all sorts of cool and strange cars cruising Woodward. The Dream Cruise started as a charity fund raiser and has since become an organized Auto Show of sorts.
A group on FaceBook has started a “Woodward 2.0” activity to try to pseudo-coordinate the weekend events. Different car clubs stage meet ups around that so that they can each hit Woodward en masse. If you search on that on FB you’ll find it. Both iterations of Woodward Cruise are a good hang.
