Idling iat2 temps
I have a p3 gauge and have watched my iat2 temps for sometime. They are usually 15-20* above ambient when cruising. I haven't checked them on a track day as I'm a novice and trying to make sure I keep it on the track. When idling the other day at 85* ambient I saw the temp rise to 115-125*. I know at the barber Motorsports park hpde I was idling on the grid for about ten minutes waiting for the session to start and saw over 100* on a 60* day.
My car has bolt ons; 2" kooks, Kong ported blower, 103 tb, wpnx heat exchangers, adm coolant reservoir, 2.3 pulley, big gulp Cai, and vengeance tune. I thought the temps would be lower. Am i running hotter than I should or is fine? Car runs great and I can't say enough good things about vengeance and my local Chevy dealer mechanic.
