Like anything, balance is the key to making power. I was fortunate enough to have an LT1 on the engine dyno (right beside the chassis dyno) to work with since 2015 so there aren't many aspects of the GM DI engines that I haven't explored.
With the final tune in the car the 3 back to back pulls were 600, 601, and 598, so I'm rounding up slightly with the 600 claim (3 run average is 599.67 RWHP) and I will say that was pushed to the absolute limit. Now, how many pulls did it took to get that tune? I'm afraid to look - I'm sure it was quite a few - but it's what I like to do.
With the canned Magnuson tune I'd expect about 585-590 RWHP (I honestly don't know what tune they are shipping). Dropping about 10hp off the limit gives a bit of margin for variances.
Make no mistake though, it is a serious blower, very efficient with really good performing inter-coolers. Don't know of much of anything our there that can run with these.
