Just to add some data of my own...
My engine was pulled and built at less than 5000 miles. I have had over 850 crank horsepower for the past 15000 miles. About to hit 20k.
I have beat the snot out of my car for the past 2 years driving it the way its mean to be driven. Drag strip, road racing at various tracks like Buttonwillow, ACS, Chuckwalla. I have driven the car to 3 different states for long stretches and never had an issue with the pump. Always shows proper oil pressure and when I get on the throttle is raises like she's supposed to...
I dont know if having mine removed and seals replaced when the cam swap was done had something to do with my success, but count mine as one of the good ones.
