Update: I believe the engine harness needs replaced. Dealer contacted Chevy Support and were told to reprogram steering sensors. Next trip in they were given a list of harnesses and circuits to test. While they were not certain they believe the culprit to be the engine harness. Where it plugs in at by the passenger head light had been cut off, soldered, and heat shrink. One wire of the set was soldered and electrical taped. Part of that wire was exposed. Dealership quoted me $2200 to replace the harness (bumper to bumper expired). Found the part for $300 probably take to my mechanic to get a quote for labor.
