I just purchased my car a little over two weeks ago. I was a little worried about the process, but the dealer was extremely helpful. I didn't have them pick me up or anything though, I just went in and bought the car like it was any other day. Was the easiest car buying process I've experienced since the dealer was so empty.
As others have said, I would find the car/dealer you want to work with and just reach out to them. All of your answers will vary depending on the person and/or dealer you work with.
