I've been running a 2300 on my SS for around 10k miles. I love this blower and have had absolutely no issues with it. That being said, if I had started with a ZL1, I would have either stuck with ported stock stuff or gone straight to the 2650. You're spending a good bit of coin either way, so you may as well go with the current state of the art. Nothing at all wrong with the 2300, but it is not a huge upgrade over a ported stocker.

If you go with the 2650, as others have said, it is probably a good idea to keep your stock blower to reinstall when you're ready to sell. I'm not sure what a used 2650 would bring, but I'm certain it's quite a bit more than a used 1700.
