Frankly, I don't get this kind of stubbornness of some LGX owners. I made the exact same mistake, bought the V6 first thinking it'll suffice, but quickly traded for the V8 when learned about the costs and risks of touching that motor. Literally everyone I asked said the same thing that you do. Plus, the same amount one would have to sink into the LGX could easily be spent on a V8 upgrade. Yes, it sucks to admit to messing up, but the quicker one does it, the less the pain.
I understand that there are a few adventurous souls who want to see how far they can take the LGX, which is totally cool and respectable, but IMO this route isn't for the regular guy who simply wants "potential V8 power" with little to no risk and costs heaping up in the long run.
