Those driveshafts are a pita to remove. I always pulled them out from the diff side first because it was too hard on the trans side. Push the center support as far into the tunnel as it will go and then use a prybar on the biscuit coupler to get it over the diff guide pin. Don't be shy, persuasion is most often times needed.

Edit; you need to break free the biscuit from the DS first.
