Last night I was able to trade my like new 16 Honda Goldwing and my 45k mile bolt on white 17 1SS Camaro 6M for what I consider a dream car of mine, a 2020 Camaro SS 1LE. Granted I like the 17-18 better, but I do like the little changes so I didn’t feel I bought the same car.
The first dealer drug his feet with me for 3 weeks and claimed he couldn’t get a number on my bike. I made one call to the store I bought it from, Sport Cycles, and got a fair number. Then they offered me below black book average for my car. And they wonder why Mustangs sell. I tried one more time with Everett Chevy in Morganton NC, three hours away, and after two days of a few texts and emails, I worked out a great deal on a rally green metallic 2020 with PDR and the trunk mat. Drove it home last night and couldn’t be happier. Looking forward to a couple of track days this year once we get through this virus to feel the difference. Honestly, the standard SS was quite capable, especially for a novice like me who averages one visit a year over the last 6 years. I have always been a white/pewter Camaro:Firebird lover. I really wanted garnet red, but none close enough and many dealers would be reluctant on the bike portion. Props to Jordan Bowman at Everett Chevy. They also had an orange one equipped identically.
