I do know I make a whole lot of big blower combos and heads and cam cars scratch their head when comes to the power my car is making.
Funny now with the 2650s around whipple looks no better then a stock ported blower setup.
Interesting post. I think it’s safe to say a stock engine leaves a lot more on the table for a Whipple than it does for a stock blower. There are a number of Whipple builds over the years over 1000 RWHP. But even with a stock unopened LT4 and a Whipple (and no direct port methanol) has run 9.48 @ 147 (https://www.lsxmag.com/videos/drag-r...o-zl1-goes-9s/). Four MPH faster than yours, with less meth, is nothing to sneeze at IMO. And the heat soak issue of the stock blower is well documented, so I’d guess the Whipple (and of course 2650) would deliver better IATs on back to back runs in conditions your average Camaro driver would see (2000 DA, etc). I’d wager your direct port meth system probably kicks ass. Will you make me one?
