I'm going to show some ignorance here but please bear with me.

I'm sick of the brake dust on my wheels and the work it takes to keep them clean. My summers are in for ceramic coating but I figured adding some Power Stop Brakes would help all the more.

What I've read up on them, they're not great for tracking but fine for dailying which is what I do with the car.

So I ordered some pads off of Amazon only to see someone posting on Facebook that you can't go with just pads alone and that you need to either get the rotors too or at least have the rotors resurfaced.

Is it true that you can't simply drop in new pads and either need to resurface the rotors or swap out to new rotors?
