Another Fresh Amost new Motor, Again?
Well I think many remember my issues last year and the year before. Wallet is emptier then a few months back. We got the motor back in the car today. Here is what I've changed.
-Lt4 short block with 1500 miles finished by Carlyle Racing.
-BTR Stage 2 Cam, lifters and springs.
-Fresh Lt1 Heads, new intake valves. At least 4 of the old intakes were bent.
-LT4 Head Gaskets
-New valve job of course.
-Katech front cover with Dod delete setup, new chain, guides, tensioner.
-New oil cooler as I'm sure the other was full of metal.
-Fuel system is the same for now, will decide in a couple weeks what that next step will be.
-Speed Engineering Billet Valve Covers
-I'm of course putting the old 2650 Maggie Heartbreaker back on.
We should have it ready to fire tomorrow but doubt I'll get to drive it for a while since the weather has been just shit here in Missouri for the last F---ing month. Snow or ice every dam week and more on the way Wednesday.
-Same 1 7/8 header BBK headers
I'll also determine the type of fuel I'm running this year but starting out with 90mm pulley, way less timing and some 93 octane just to have some fun on the street to make sure all is safe and ready for some boost again. Probably close to the same race setup with about 15-16 lbs of boost and 25 or so degrees of timing on race fuel with 75mm pulley and about 19 or so on the street with 93 octane and 90mm pulley. Plus a little Meth/Water as I have the last 3 years, just a little safety net.
