He already has a small list of mods he thinks "we" should do. It's funny, I have a couple '60s muscle cars, and he's never shown much interest in them, but now all of a sudden he wants to start wrenching! His first order of business was removing the front license plate mount.

The plan is to use it as a quasi dd. I'll be making the 4 hr trip to Vegas in it in a couple weeks, and am curious to know how well it will work on a longer drive. I'm considering a spare tire kit from Modern Spare, unless there are better options? Waiting in the desert for a tow really sucks.
Welcome, and enjoy the ZL1! I hope it cures your itch while the project car evolves.

My 14yr old son has taken to caring for, and wanting to improve on both of our weekend cars as well. Once he caught the bug last summer he even started washing and detailing neibourhood cars!

We took a long weekend course together (his request for his birthday), on how to do this properly, and then he was off to the races. Advertising thru word of mouth and his friends parents, before long he couldn’t keep up! He made quite a bit of $$ last summer, and plans to get it going again come spring.

Figured I would throw in a shot of him buffing the course project vehicle. It’s great when you find those things you have in common and can enjoy with your kids!
