Its why I ran 275s on the type r where others were going with 285s. I liked the sharpness and overall grip of that tire and it worked for me.

I will say as i am in the same boat with weather, its 90% the reason i run the Re71R. It works in all the weather we have here.
Unfortunately I only have experience on the 305s so it is hard to say how it feels relative to narrower. I bought the car in June last year so only have one season on it. It is hard to judge without doing back to back comparisons on the same day, but I don't feel like it lost much in the way of sharpness over my previous S2000 (which was admittedly on very pinched tires as well) or the stock GY tires that I ran two events on before getting the RE71s. Also unfortunately, those two events were outliers (one was in a VERY small lot, and the other was wet) so I don't even have a good feel from that.

All that being said, it felt pretty sharp on the 305s, and co drivers felt the same, so I may just stick to what I know unless I can find some other data.

Thanks for the help!
