a 1k hp ev sounds cool, but i hate to imagine what it would cost. a well optioned 455 hp gas burner is already 50k, and you know an ev is going to have way more stuff on it, awd etc.

while i agree electric vehicles are a joke and more harmful to the environment (see carbon footprint) than ICE setups, i would still buy one to daily. the biggest problem is: they are so damn ugly. every one of them. why??

i would never buy an ev camaro (or ev anything) to replace my fun car(s). i’m an inherent car guy, growing up in u-pulls and on dragstrips watching my friends and family race nhra stock class cars.

some of you call it holding on to a prehistoric idea. i can see that point of view when you lack grass roots car (racing/shows/maintenance/modification) experience. as a kid i slept in the back of a square body suburban every friday & saturday night when i got tired of watching cars race...for almost a decade. the sound, smell and feel of an ICE can never be replaced. calling this car thing a passion is an understatement.
