Having driven a couple of EVs, I can definitively say that is the best way to sit in traffic on the daily commute. That being said, I didn't buy a Camaro to be the best commuter.

Ideally, I'd have two cars, an EV for daily driving duty and an ICE sports car for track days and autox. I want my fun car to be engaging, powered by gasoline and with a manual transmission. I don't care how much faster the EVs and DCTs are, I prefer shifting my own gears. The enjoyment I get is continuing to push whatever I have even further each session. Whether the car can run a 2:30 or 1:50, is fairly irrelevant, as long as I'm enjoying it the whole time. Also, faster just means more death.
