I'll pass.... That valve looks like something could eventually wear out or something to that affect. Simple drain plugs have been tried and trued for years.

True but this gadget is also long enough to allow the oil to drain from both the plug and the oil filter at the same time. A five gallon bucket isn't wide enough.
