You won't vary by that much from trying different modes. If you do then you have no idea what you're doing. You might see a tenth or two.

These GT500s are all over the place. I could see if the skill level between drivers was different. But these guys are all on the same level and their times are ranging by a full second or more.

Well that certainly sounds like something I said which all the Mustang guys immediately disagreed with. The GT500s seem very prone to inconsistencies. Even on the same track with the same driver on the same day and in the same conditions. The only times I saw anything more than a difference of 3 tenths was if I screwed up the launch or didn't shift properly. That is driver error. If there is no driver error then there should not be such a wide variance. The only way that could happen outside of driver error is if something is wrong with the car.
