Then I traded it on an m3 with a DCT thinking the torque converter was the problem. The dct was fun for about a month and I always drove in manual mode but then I was right back to wishing I had a real manual and missed having control of the clutch still which is why it got replaced with a zl1 m6. For me interacting with the clutch and gearbox is the majority of what makes driving fun. Since I drive my car not race it I don’t really care if the auto would shave a couple tenths of a second off the 0-60 time or quarter. I’ll take the slightly slower but more engaging and fun manual and actually enjoy driving again. The only reason I didn’t wait a couple months and get a c8 instead is because it’s not available with a manual and getting a manual back was the entire reason for trading cars.
So if this will be your first venture away from a manual make sure you really want to loose that part of driving before you take the hit on the trade.

I have actually went back and forth a few times in just the past 5 years. I Have kept a car on average 9 months for my last about 5 cars, i need to chill and keep one. I actually have had two different Charger Scat packs and loved them just not enough power, loved the 8 speed trans though it was awesome!
Looked into Hellcats but they want too much money for one of those bad boys if you are looking for a 2018 with less than 15k miles they want z06 prices for them.
I do like the ZL1 just miss the quick shifts, ease of use and remote start of the auto. I did not get a chance to drive an A10 until after i purchased my M6. There were no A10's close to me for about 5 months that i could drive. Found the car i currently have and Just felt like 50,500 for a 2017 with 1600 miles on it was a great deal, so i jumped on it.
