To your second point, that's not true. This C&D third review of the updated 350 in like the last 4 months. It's gone up against now the PP2, Supra, M2, and 718 Cayman

I think with the ZLE A10, they did it because they had to with the GT500 being DCT. It will be interesting to see if they go that route with the SSLE as well.

While it would be cool to get the SSLE wheels and tires on the A10LT1 I think that would probably send it's cost to deep into SS range and kind of defeat the purpose of it.
Yes 2 seconds is significant. I kind of wish GM would add more variants/options kind of like what I'm saying with the 1LE wheels & tires. While that option may put an LT1 into SS price range, I'm saying it should also be an SS/V6/I4 option. If you want a stock LT1 for the lightest drag racing configuration, but know you need wider wheels and tires, someone may opt for it. It makes more sense to just buy rear 17x10.5s and throw drag radials on, but then it's "not stock"... If your autocrossing a V6 or I4 1LE then you could also definitely use more tire.
Sorry I guess I haven't been following all the GT350 reviews.

Additionally, I think a standard ZL1 would have been within 2 tenths of the 500 or right even. If it was the Base 500 then it would have been even closer. Also I did not expect the Redeye to do well at all with those Pirelli tires. So the results are pretty much as expected.
You get it with the Redeye and the tires, but idk why you don't understand that the 3Rs are a huge tire advantage over the 3s and will result in a better 1/4 mile time on an unprepped surface. Ok another GM option, ZLE wheels & tires on ZL1s!
Yes we NEED this track test! #fingerscrossed

100k - 140k GT500/GT500 CFTP vs 60 -70k ZL1/ZL1 1LE is an entirely different one.

Sure wait until they are irrelevant like the GT350R is vs it’s competitors performance wise, but you can now get them under MSRP. If that is what you want, patience worked out I guess.
I was going to reply to TreedYou about the massive price difference, but you guys covered it well.

Makes me think of when people bring up the nerdburgring as if they are EVER GOING TO GO THERE!! lol
You know what I like? "WHAT DOES YOUR CAR RUN??" that's it... it's all great quoting magazines from sofa's behind computers but it gets corny fast in real life.
I hate when non road course people talk about stuff they don't understand, but I'm a road course guy. Magazine head to heads are the best comparisons we get. If I ever see a GT500 on the track I can almost guarantee the driver won't be as good as me and I'll get video of me passing him for you. Does that mean my supercharged SS is better than a GT500? Hell no!

I still think on unprepped surface it's been proven that 3Rs win.

Funny you pull the magazine racer line the M6G guys love to say, but don’t have a ZL1/ZLE or GT500 (unless your car list isn’t up to date) so all you can do is quote magazine times as well from your sofa/computer.

Just because you don’t buy new doesn’t make the current market prices of the cars being discussed and their price to performance dollar a non topic. You do the same thing just in the used market.
Minn for the win again
