The 'best' oil will be relative to the application. Are you referring to daily driving, with occasional spirited driving? Are you referring to full time race-car?
For an easy all around, Mobil1 15W-50: cheap, high viscosity, great for warm climate, will provide more than enough protection,and it is the recommended track oil. Also, unlike our friends to the north of Florida, we can get away with high W numbers (15W-20W).
