Here is my breakdown and reasoning behind the oil viscosity uses:

5W 30 is sufficient for NORMAL street drivability, i.e. normal freeway driving, grocery getting and stop and go traffic. Down side: 5w 30 evaporates more than heavier weighted oil under heavy use. This oil also thins too quickly under repeated heavy use due to moisture and unburnt fuel blowby. 5W 30 will thin after 1 or 2 heavy use cycles and will no longer perform like a 30 weight oil.

0W 40 is for the street warriors and track use: track course, freeway pulls, drag racing, roll racing, normal freeway driving, and even grocery getting. Down side: The cost of this oil is expensive. Drivers should allow for at least 2 minutes of warm up time after starting a cold engine. Must use PF64 oil filter for flow and for warranty.

15W 50 is for guys that perform: heavy freeway pulls, launches, heavy track course, heavy drag strip, heavy roll racing, heavy freeway pulls etc..Down side Over prolonged use, this oil does not lubricate as efficiently as 5w 40 or 0w 40. This oil requires long warm up times from cold starts. This oil does not play nice with cats. IMO must use PF64 oil filter due to heavy viscosity of oil because PF64 has larger inlet holes..even bigger than PF64R. Must use PF64 oil filter for flow and for warranty.

I think the majority of readers here fall into the 0w 40 catagory!!
