When I first got my first C5 Z06 (a looooong time ago) I remember reading an article that stated that the Corvette team was bragging about using the leaf set up and something about it being on the F1 cars at the time.
Race suspensions rarely work well in the real world though, where you are driving on un-prepped, ill maintained public roads.
