I love my ZLE like no other car before it, and want to keep it as my final fun car, but I hate having to watch the oil pressure more than the tach or speedo. It seems like there should be a class action suit initiated against GM to cause this problem to be rectified. It's a shame to get to this point, but unless GM is FORCED to expose the actual numbers of oil pump failures that have happened, and what they/Melling have done to resolve it, there is no way to know if a replacement pump from GM is not the same piece of shit the engine builders put in to start with. I really don't want to have to trade this car in for something else, but even with an extended warranty I have, I am not planning on having my car pulled apart by dealer stooges that don't even know what kind of oil to use.

It looks like I may have to start considering a different 'final fun car'......

I would sell it if it is bothering you this much. I actually had this failure and I'm not nearly as concerned as you are.
