I would think that since they raised the price by $5K they would advertise an extra 44 HP if they did squeeze more out of it. They advertised the 411 to 420 bump of the GT and then the 420 to 435 and then the 435 to 460. So why would they keep silent about this? It just seems a bit far fetched if you ask me.

Cars does a great job of setting up a test of the Redeye and shows how a real test should be conducted and they were running low 11's and 10.86 a second faster than MT. MT is a joke if that is how they run their tests.

They test the cars in different ways tho. So you can't really criticize them. Plus who's to say if any of the myriad variables that are needed to run these spectacular track times were available? Just one thing off can alter the times drastically.

When they say it beat the street corvette I wonder if they're refering c8 z51 in general or the street aligment numbers. Probably the c8 in general but since they made a distinction between the street tune and track tune, makes me wonder.

They ran the Vette in street tune first. Then in track tune it was 2-3 seconds faster. However they did mention the "street 'Vette" in that statement which is a bit odd. Was it a typo? I wonder. Because the word "street" could be interpreted that it was in the street tune. In which case, did they handicap the Vette so the GT500 could win? LOL! Ok joke. Before people get all riled up. But the wording is off and needs clarification. Because if it was in street tune then the track tune will close the gap if not surpass.
Good eye for noticing that.
And I was rooting for the home team!! LOL! Even if the GT500 SHOULD win, my banner had the Vette on it!!

That is over a full second which means the Vette has no chance...if I'm to be fair and consistent. LOL! But which one put those numbers up? And it needs to be clarified about the setting they ran the Vette in.
