My version of the manual did mention removing the lid before installation and it also mentioned the copper washers. My Whipple was shipped to me in April of ‘19 right from Whipple (custom color) and installed in June, so pretty recent install. I didn’t see any reference to needing the (10) o-rings in any one instance, but there are a bunch of them needed throughout the install (water crossover, for example)?
