It is not feasible for auto manufacturers, especially domestic, to make a car like the Camaro fully electric in the next decade... The battery production capacity just isn't there. This is the reason why Tesla has its Gigafactories in Nevada and New York, and no other automaker has announced a mass-produced, stand-alone electric car (ever wondered why Ford branded its electric SUV as a Mustang? My thought is that they're trying to make the car seem more niche; to limit production).

This may have been the reason the Camaro has been delayed, as they might be reconsidering their strategy. If anything, I view this as a positive as it implies that they're going back to the drawing board; rethinking their electric rollout strategy as others have.

I have nothing against electric cars, besides that they rely on an already-taxed power grid partially supplied by polluting, non-renewable energy. It's a good stepping stone to where we'll eventually land; fuel cell-powered vehicles. Instant torque and a low center of gravity make for a great performance potential, too. Contrary to what some automakers will imply, an "electric revolution" will not happen overnight. My guess is, in the next 20 years, 2/3 of the cars on the road will still be powered by ICEs, while electric and fuel cell-powered cars will account for half of all new cars sold.
