I’m also in the Griots camp, I’m on my second one after 10 years, and only reason I gave up the old one was to give it to a friend… And I like to buy new stuff… LOL

Since we’re talking tens of dollars here, don’t skimp on a DA. The griots and the upper end polishers like a rupes or flex are lighter ,have less vibration and your back and body will so much appreciate that versus the weight you carry in a harbor freight unit or the like. It’s worth getting a good one. You also find other things to do with it, I routinely polish the quartz counters, shower doors and stainless fridge with it and it Makes them look brand new.

Speaking of not using it very often, I bought the Griots cordless, and it works great for cleaning up a new car just using a finishing polish. One battery does the whole car, and without a cord it’s so much easier to use especially when you’re on your back and doing things with an outstretched hand…Going on almost 3 years of use with no problems.
