Ported Heads with Stock Cam
Before everyone says go ahead and do cam all at once, that is not the route i want to go.
So my car is basically FBO. Has headers, intake, ported 95mm tb, ported msd, e85.
I want to do the ported heads and while im there replace the lifters, upgrade the pushrods and do the trunion upgrade on the rockers in an effort to try to increase the shift rpm to the 6800 area without valvetrain issues.
My question is can i upgrade the springs to something like the BTR .660 springs while keeping the stock cam or would staying with the stock springs be better. IE will the BRT springs being higher lift cause an issue with the stock cam.
